What data we collect
When you subscribe to email alerts, we store only:
- Your email address
- Your chosen alert preferences (back in stock, price drop, new listing, deals)
- If you use Premium: Payrexx checkout, subscription and contact identifiers, payment status, paid-through date, and the version and time of your terms acceptance
Swiss AC Watch never receives or stores full card, bank, or TWINT credentials. Webhook payloads are processed transiently; only a cryptographic receipt hash is retained for replay protection.
Where data is stored and processed
Alert account data is stored on a server located in Switzerland, and alert emails are sent from that server. If you choose Premium, the data needed to process payment is also sent to and processed by Payrexx under its own infrastructure and privacy obligations.
Third-party processors
Alert emails are delivered through Infomaniak, an email provider based in Switzerland, acting solely as our sending relay. For Premium, Payrexx AG hosts checkout, processes recurring CHF 5.00 monthly payments using TWINT, Visa, or Mastercard, and sends signed payment and subscription status updates to us. Payrexx processes and retains payment data under its own legal and regulatory obligations, which may continue after you delete your Swiss AC Watch account. We use no analytics or advertising networks, and never sell your email address.
Tracking in emails
Alert emails contain no tracking pixels, read-receipt beacons, or click-tracking links. Emails are plain notifications only.
Retention and deletion
Before deleting an account with renewable Premium billing, we first ask Payrexx to cancel renewal. If cancellation fails, we retain the account and show an error so a charge cannot continue without a corresponding account. Local alert and billing-linkage data is deleted after successful cancellation; Payrexx may retain its records independently where required by law, payment-network rules, fraud prevention, or accounting obligations.
Your rights (revFADP)
Under the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP, in force 1 September 2023), you have the right to:
- Request confirmation of whether we hold data about you
- Obtain a copy of your stored data
- Request correction or deletion of your data
